Our Desert Lily will reshape your perception of Pinot Noir - and where it can be grown.
Planted at the highest point on our farm, surrounded by fynbos, are two small blocks of Pinot Noir. A rare varietal for the region. They yield little - but what they give is exceptional. A secret known only to us, and the local baboons, who often get there first and help themselves before we make our way up for harvest.
Originally, our Pinot Noir played a supporting role in some of our other wines. But when we tasted the 2025 vintage, it was immediately clear: this deserved its own label.
The name Desert Lily felt inevitable. Like the flower it’s named after, this Pinot Noir appears rarely. The desert lily lies dormant beneath harsh conditions, waiting for the precise balance of heat and rain before it blooms. And when it does, it arrives unexpectedly.
In much the same way, our Pinot Noir emerges only when conditions are exactly right. A rare release, available exclusively in our tasting room and online.
Production is very limited. And there is no certainty about when it will return.
